As a Case IH dealer of fertilizer applicators, we often get questions about what row units we offer customers. As a result, we wanted to create a guide for those researching their options. Below are the descriptions of the four options we offer.

Yetter Magnum 10000

Case utilizes the Yetter Magnum 10000 High speed low disturbance row unit on the Nutri-Placer toolbars. Operating at speeds between 6-11 mph with minimal disturbance, the Magnum saves time and input costs for you all season long. The 22.6” blade is designed to cut through residue to allow for precise nutrient placement. The closing wheel has three down pressure settings for you to set well as a shark tooth blade helping to clean that row. The knives and beaver tails are easy to replace but should give extended acres of coverage for you during application season. With many different liquid and dry tube attachments this row unit will give you everything that you need.

Case HD Spring Mount

The HD spring shank is a 1” x 2” shank on an 850 lbs. spring mount. This shank can be used on the 930 or 940 Nutri-Placer models. The shank provides a side mount for the knife and the spring bundle is designed with an auto reset to protect the knife, shank, and bar. This shank is best suited for smaller, single fold toolbars and is also a more cost-effective option.

Case HCS Shank

The HCS shank, which stands for high clearance shank, was designed by Case for your toughest field conditions and has become the most popular option for both 930 and 940 toolbars. It comes with a 1 ¼” x 2” edge bent shank with mounting holes for accurate and consistent sealer positioning. The HCS shank has dual springs and the holding force can be adjusted to either 850 lb. or 1,200 lb. to fit your fields needs. This shank is built to stand up to any field conditions and give you a consistent nitrogen application each season.

Case Strip-Till Setup

Case also has the Nutri-Tiller 955 which is designed for strip till application. There are 4 different attachments that Case offers for the Strip Till bar to create the perfect seed bed. The first is the row cleaner that sits in front of the shank. The row cleaner moves the residue without gouging or riding on top of the residue. Two down pressure spring settings allow you to match the aggressiveness you need for your field. Next is the HCS shank that has the double plate to hold the knife and give you a straight, consistent depth for uniform berms and accurate nutrient placement. Behind the shank is the berm builder. The berm builders 18” notched blades catch and contain the soil to build the berm for the seedbed. The last piece of the strip till set up is the berm conditioner. This smooths the berm tops and finishes of the seedbed. Each basket mounts on a spring -loaded arm to help maintain ground contact.
